In an earlier post, we discussed that the phrases “I wish I had a million dollars” or “I want to be a millionaire” are really just throw-away comments without any focus and therefore unlikely to be achieved by most people. I’d like to elaborate on the fact that the reality of today’s world is that you will actually need to become a millionaire (or near enough) – eventually. I am saying this from the perspective of financial responsibility and being able to live the life that you deserve. I am definitely NOT saying this from the shallow perspective of greed, jealousy and thinking that expensive shiny objects make your life awesome – because they don’t.
♦ YOUR DREAMS ARE NOT FREE
Have you ever thought about what your life’s purpose actually is? Are you fulfilling your potential? For most people, the answer is a resounding NO. But eventually, you’ll work out why you are here. Those ideas will be part of your dreams. Maybe you are partially Living The Dream already?
The ‘elephant in the room’ for a lot of folks is that once they have established what they truly want in life, it dawns upon them that their dreams are not free – they need to be funded. The bigger the dream – the bigger the financial resources required. That’s a fact of life and this becomes the right time to already be a millionaire. Lottery ticket anyone?
What are your dreams and do you know what you need in monetary terms to make your dreams a reality?
What are you focusing upon – that one non-negotiable thing that you have decided that you must achieve?
Does your plan show how you will fund that goal?
Having money allows you to execute the plan required to fulfil your dreams and live the life you desire and actually deserve. That should be your primary reason for wishing to be a millionaire.
In a future post, we’ll dive into understanding what your dreams really look like and what the funding levels might actually be. Look out for that.
In the meantime, if you think a friend needs to see this post, then share it with them. You might be doing them a huge favour.
