If you’re struggling in your career or business and only achieving mediocre results, then its possible that you may not have discovered your true purpose or determined your “reason for being”.

In this video, I’ll show you a model where the answers to four powerful questions will give you a strong indication of what you should focus upon.

Find your true purpose.

Have a try at answering the 4 questions that I introduce in the video:

  1. What do you love?
  2. What are you good at?
  3. What does the world need?
  4. What can you be paid for?

Hopefully, some of your answers will overlap. The minor overlaps between pairs of answers will identify your Passion, Mission, Profession and Vocation. That should give you strong clues as to what to spend your time on and what to pursue. From there, keep going and go deeper with the questions until you find answers from 3 areas that overlap and eventually you will find your IKIGAI – when 4 distinct answers overlap. That will identify your true calling – your reason for being

1. What do I love?

• I love my life and my family. I want others to have and feel the same.

• I love it when the underdog has a fair shot at success – and more so when they achieve it.

• I love having choices and freedom and wish the same for all of the world.

• I love belonging in a team and collaborating.

• I love helping people to get over their hurdles.

• I love nature and all living beings.• I love sports and music.

2. What am I really good at?

• Listening. Empathy. Being supportive.

• Solving complex problems.

• Creating better solutions which are sustainable and scalable – not one shot quick fixes.

• Logically working through challenges with a high attention to detail.

• Picking up new ideas and learning fast.

• Producing high quality work and maintaining consistently high standards.

3. What does the world need?

• The world that I am talking about at the moment comprises “wealth professionals” – entrepreneurial spirits from the Investment Banking and FinTech industries.

• They have already achieved success in their careers, earned well but often at great personal cost involving sacrifices – Not enough time with family, Not able to prioritise out of work activities on a regular basis, High levels of stress and anxiety, Compromised self care.

• The particular group that I want to help are those who have taken the first steps to help themselves to achieve autonomy and freedom – people who have chosen to leverage their talents to create their own product or service business.

• I want to help them achieve their ‘turnaround’.

• What I want to do for these people is to help them to build their businesses, help them to evolve into the best versions of themselves – but more than that, help them to create a lifestyle of total freedom for them and their families.

4. What can I be paid for and earn a living?

• Having been on the entrepreneurial journey for a large part of the past decade, re-invented myself and created a wonderful lifestyle, I would now like to help my clients to achieve the same and more.

• I want to make a tangible differences to my clients’ lives.

• I want to guide my clients so that they are able to make a difference for themselves, but also ensure that they are able to make a difference to the lives of others.

• I want to help my entrepreneurial clients to unleash their talents so that they can look back at the end of their lives and say “Yes – that was definitely worth it, I made a difference and I created a legacy”

A little bit about me..

I am a professional coach and some of my clients call me their ‘trusted adviser’. I mentor and guide leaders from the investment banking and FinTech industries so that they are able to make an impact and create a legacy. 

I started work in the investment banking industry in the mid-1990s. I have been fortunate to have worked in some of the top firms and with many amazing high-achievers.
